The lack of preparation of professionals for the
challenges of the job market has become an increasingly apparent problem in
recent years. While universities and colleges provide a solid foundation of
technical knowledge in various fields, many graduates struggle to make the
transition to the corporate environment. Gaps in higher education include a
lack of focus on essential skills such as leadership, communication,
productivity, and emotional intelligence that are critical to professional
success, regardless of field. It was against this backdrop of unmet needs that
Hendel Favarin Martines came up with the innovative idea of creating a school
to fill the void left by traditional colleges.
What began as an initiative to transform individuals
has become a valuable resource for companies seeking to train and improve their
teams. Today, Conquer serves more than 500 companies, including giants such as
Coca-Cola, Grupo Boticário, Itaú, Bradesco, Banco do Brasil, Google, Ifood,
Ambev, Nestlé, Loreal, among others. In addition to its business success,
Conquer has stood out for its contribution to society during the pandemic,
offering a free emotional intelligence course to help people deal with the fear
and uncertainty of the crisis.
With a law degree, Hendel dropped out of college in
2014 to become an entrepreneur, selling an app for restaurants. Three years
later, he founded Conquer, which has impacted more than 5 million students and
created more than 800 direct jobs in seven years.
