Depression and anxiety already cost the global economy US$1 trillion a year. This reality presents leaders with an extraordinary challenge: to achieve their goals without compromising their mental health and that of their teams. Although modern management approaches have emerged, their adoption remains an arduous task. In this context, Carolina Kia Takada created Bud, a team management software that simplifies the adoption of healthier and more effective management practices.
Carolina's mission is to help leaders incorporate more balanced management routines both in their daily lives and in their relationships with their teams. Essentially, through this platform, she helps leaders align everyone around common goals, promote autonomy and clarity of priorities, encourage collaboration and dialogue around goals, contribute directly where it is most needed, encourage recognition of team accomplishments, and create an environment based on care, trust, and support. With more than 5,000 users and the experience of supporting more than 400 leaders worldwide, in companies such as Bosch, Unilever, DHL, Novo Nordisk and Gupy, the platform has an NPS above 80, with a high rate of weekly and monthly active users of more than 70%.
Carolina has a solid academic background, including an Executive Education in Corporate Business Model Innovation from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, in 2019, and another in Cultural Awareness for Developing Successful Business Strategies from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, in the same year. Her education also includes a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of São Paulo, graduating in 2012. She has shared her expertise on well-being at work at leading events around the world, including Collision in Canada, Web Summit in Rio and Lisbon, and Viva Tech in Paris.
