Innovators Under 35 Europe: Spain Gathering is the annual event of MIT Technology Review with the objective of recognizing the most remarkable technological entrepreneurs and researchers all over Spain.
Thanks to the support of Gas Natural Fenosa, Payment Innovation Hub, Almirall and IESE Business School, the ceremony was held on November 30th at Barcelona Tech City and gathered laureates from the previous editions and experts from the tech ecosystem in Europe.
The Top Spanish Talents pitched their projects on stage and Eduardo Jorgensen was named Innovator of the Year Spain 2017 for MedicSen, an 'artificial pancreas' to improve the treatment of diabetes.
Since its creation in 2011, the Spanish community has been growing exponentially always pursuing the same objective: to award innovation — the development of new technologies or the creative application of pre-existing ones in order to resolve current problems—, ingenuity, and advances toward addressing the world’s most pressing challenges.
This year, as the European project continues to grow, the community has gone one step further by compiling a pool of the top 35 profiles in Europe recognized as Innovators Under 35 Europe for 2017 during the award ceremony in Paris. Prior to this ceremony, MIT Technology Review selected the Top Spanish Talents with the objective of showcasing the most brilliant minds in Spain.
