MIT Technology Review is back in Belgium, thanks to the support of BNP Paribas Fortis, with the objective of recognizing the most remarkable technological entrepreneurs and researchers all over Belgium. Since its creation in 2015, the Belgian community has been growing exponentially always pursuing the same objective: to award innovation — the development of new technologies or the creative application of pre-existing ones in order to resolve current problems—, ingenuity, and advances toward addressing the world’s most pressing challenges.
This year, as the European project continues to grow, the community has gone one step further by compiling a pool of the top 35 profiles in Europe which will be recognized Innovators Under 35 Europe for 2017 during the award ceremony on September 14th in Paris.
Prior to this ceremony, MIT Technology Review selected the TOP BELGIAN TALENTS who are competing for a spot among the final list of Innovators Under 35 Europe 2017. The ceremony took place on June 20th at Chancellery Auditorium BNP Paribas Fortis and gathered laureates from the previous editions and experts from the tech ecosystem in Belgium.
Additionaly, at the ceremony Julien de Wit was recognized as Innovator of the Year Belgium 2017 and he has automatically become one of the 35 Innovators Under 35 selected this year in Europe by MIT Technology Review.
